rain, rain, go away.

despite the current dreariness, we've found a bright spot in the midst of it. isn't this color combo the perfect mix of all autumnal bliss? if only it were this delightful outside.

anyway, we love this blend: bright yellow solidago, burgundy poms, tulips, and a big boost of texture and background contrast- kale.

what a day for a daydream...

not your ordinary filler.

we love to use seeded eucalyptus in arrangements, bouquets, and often all by itself. there's just such a vintage and subtly eclectic feel about the way the leaves and berries mix together. in a fall or early winter event- we'd certainly suggest adding this perfect silvery-green compliment to your occasion.

cloth diapers.

we are certainly pro-cloth diapering here at bloom, but thought this use was perhaps even as adorable as a tiny tot in a bum genius! these floral displays were featured at a recent shower for a client, and we think they're as sweet as they come!

the beloved white pumpkin.

we can't really take credit for this- but it was too beautiful not to post. fall just brings out the best in everyone, doesn't it? perfect for many occasions- not to mention the extra benefit of the possibility of roasted pumpkin seeds! find a yummy kid-friendly recipe here.

what a simple, easy arrangement- yet so full of autumnal bliss. we're working on our own this weekend, but this just couldn't wait.

autumn's burgundy.

what a beautiful, elegant event. a perfect accompaniment to fall's colors- this wedding was full of deep, bold color. there was so much texture in the bouquets- they were seemingly velvet.

pretty purple.

just a perfectly romantic afternoon wedding. the dresses were a deep purple, the bouquets were full of texture and sentiment. the bride's arrangement featured purple hydrangeas, lisianthus, mini callas, and lavender- reminding her of the fresh sprigs her father always brings on his arrival from the wine country. the bridesmaids were a bit more eclectic with the same mix but adding purple carnations, purple sage and a few pops of green orchids for contrast.

the entire palette could be mirrored wonderfully by a sweet bushel of concord grapes. certainly, nature provides enough colorful inspiration for any event.

pretty purple- part II

the backdrop of this event was a soothing blend of white on white with just subtle splashes of color. we used purple hydrangeas mixed with sweet & spiky green bells of ireland for centerpieces while the most glorious deep shade of purple gladiolas lined the head table.
